UPCOMING PERFORMANCES

20th JUNE 2011
Birmingham Conservatoire Saxophone Department presents a programme of contemporary music, which explores the more tangible side of performance. By considering the possibility of a visual representation of music, performers will integrate the use of space, movement, text and imagery to offer a more vivid interpretation of works for soloists, quartets and saxophone ensemble.

The concert is named after and includes Luke's saxophone octet The Night The Buses Died. The work was inspired by a short story, of the same name, writen by Etgar Keret.

05th MAY 2011
Luke's new work for chamber orchestra A Clean, Well-Lighted Place will be performed at Birmingham Conservatoire by the amazing THUMB ENSEMBLE. The ensemble includes some special guests, flautist Rowland Sutherland, oboist Christopher Redgate and violinist David Le Page.

Along side Luke's piece, four more works will be performed by student composers. Sean Clancy, Alex Patterson, Nicholas Stuart and Stephen Willey.

The concert will be an exciting event, one not to be missed!!!
